Day 5 got off to a slow start due to kid's sleeping difficulties the
night before. We finally got on the road and got over to Niagara Falls
in the mid afternoon. We met up with our friends, the Blockburgers. One
thing we had planned to do was ride the Maid of the Mist Ferry. We
wandered down to the falls immediately, and took a few pictures. Clark
and I then walked over to the place to buy tickets only to find that the
last ferry for the day was departing in about 5 minutes. So we dashed
back, grabbed our families, and hurried down to the boat. We weren't the
last ones on board, but it was close. Here are a smattering of the
pictures.
Afterwards, they hurried us out of there (likely because they all
wanted to go home), so we had to take this picture from the landing
above.
After the ride, we started walking down towards the falls. However, the
kids were getting tired and so they headed back while Clark and I
walked down to the falls to take a few pictures.
That night we had Thanksgiving dinner! Yes, it was Thanksgiving day in
Canada. To celebrate we had turkey sandwiches and pie. Yum.
