In August of 2012

In August of 2012...

The boys practiced their culinary skills. As soon as they can safely use a knife and turn on the stove I am putting them to work!

We went to Jason's Deli to celebrate Parker's and Chase's upcoming birthdays. We like to go to Jason's Deli for the kids' birthdays. Free ice cream and everyone is happy!

We have a very similar picture of Chase eating an ice cream at Jason's Deli in Orlando right before he turned one.

  Adie started kindergarten!

And rode bus the first day all by herself.

We celebrated Parker's first birthday that night with frosted / sprinkled muffins and opening a few gifts.

A few days later, we celebrated Chase's third birthday. First, we went with his best friend to watch excavators dig out the foundation for the new fire station. Nothing makes Chase happier than heavy construction equipment.

Then, we stopped at McDonald's for a smoothie and time at the play place.

That night, we ate Chase's diggers and dumpers cake and opened his gifts.

We had apple cupcakes with Chase's new preschool friends to celebrate the start of school and all the August birthdays in our preschool group.

Adie started writing sentences on her own, without any help. She sure likes her punctuation!

Chase slept like a champ. He would sleep for 11 - 12 hours at night and take a 2 hour nap nearly everyday. It took 3 years to get him sleeping that well, so well he could fall asleep kneeling at his chair. Practice for the mission someday? It didn't last (must have been a growth spurt), but I sure enjoyed it!

Parker discovered the fun of the toilet paper roll.

Chase started preschool. We do a co-op with some other children in the ward. It's such a cute group. The rotation started at our house and the kids did so well for their first few days of preschool. Chase loves it.

Yay for August 2012!
